Addressing her medical condition, Diamond Star Maricel Soriano has decided to seek medical treatment in Singapore.

This was relayed to us exclusively as Soriano flew to Singapore on Sunday, 1 June, to seek professional help and address her spinal arthritis problem, which has been plaguing her of late.

Recall that last April, many noticed Soriano had difficulty walking, which was why her guests in her post-birthday celebration came to where she was seated to greet her.

Later, in her YouTube channel, Soriano explained what had been bugging her physically.

She unabashedly revealed that she’s suffering from arthritis in her spine, which limits her mobility. She disclosed that she was undergoing physical therapy, which included aquatic activities like walking and stretching.

“When your body talks, you listen. As they say, what you eat today will walk and talk tomorrow,” Soriano said in her vlog.

Maris Racal’s critically-acclaimed film, Sunshine, will finally be shown in Philippine cinemas on 23 July without cuts.

Racal posted an art card of the film: “R-16 without cuts.”

“Next PHILIPPINES. SUNSHINE. SOON,” came her caption.

Sunshine tells the story of a young gymnast who, unfortunately, found herself pregnant during her tryout week. It’s directed by Antoinette Jadaone.

Racal was able to attend the premiere of Sunshine at the Far East Film Festival in Italy after the film won the Crystal Bear award at the 75th Berlin International Film Festival last February.

Racal’s film also joined the Palm Springs International Film Festival. She was nominated for Best Youth Film at the 17th Asia Pacific Screen Awards after its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival.

As reported earlier by Screen Daily in its article, Indiecan Entertainment secured the North American distribution rights to the film. A remake is already underway.

Jadaone excitedly announced this development on her Instagram account: “Na-announce naaaa!!! Finallehhhh a North American distribution deal + remake rights + English-language adaptation for Sunshine signed and sealed at the Cannes Market. Thank you to our sales agent @michaelangelomcfly @sineinstitute doing the work there in Cannes.”

Sharon Cuneta, Julia Montes in an acting showdown

Megastar Sharon Cuneta and Prime Actress Julia Montes shattered the hearts of viewers with their gut-wrenching revelation scene in Saving Grace: The Untold Story - The Last Hope.

Anna (Montes) finally discovered the truth that Miranda (Cuneta) is her real mother who abandoned her as a child.

The Kapamilya stars put on the ultimate acting showdown in ABS-CBN’s heavy drama, which is down to its final three weeks, during their highly anticipated confessional and their most heartbreaking scene yet. After years of deep resentment, Anna vented all her frustrations against Miranda, who was equally guilt-ridden for all the pain she had inflicted on her daughter.

Viewers should also watch out for more highly emotional twists in the series when Anna learns that Miranda’s days are numbered as she struggles with her life-threatening illness. The series will also highlight the “battle of mothers” as Helena (Janice De Belen), Anna’s adoptive mother and Miranda’s long-time rival, both fight against all odds to win back Anna’s trust.

Meanwhile, the scandalous kidnapping incident involving Grace (Zia Grace) will reach greater heights when Anna and Sarah (Jennica Garcia) come face-to-face in a heated argument that will ultimately lead to life-changing legal implications.

Will Anna find it in her heart to forgive Miranda? Will Miranda and Helena finally resolve their long-standing rift?
