From a child star to a full-fledged Kapamilya personality, Xyriel Manabat took on a whole new challenge when she stepped into the Pinoy Big Brother house. But even for a seasoned actress like her, nothing could prepare her for the emotional rollercoaster and life lessons that would come with spending over a month inside Kuya’s house.
“I really thought I would only last a week,” Xyriel confessed in a heartfelt video released by Star Magic on 31 May. “I thought I’d get into trouble because of my mouth and end up getting force evicted. But you guys kept me there. You fought for me.”
Known for her bold, fun-loving, and outspoken personality, Xyriel showed a raw and unfiltered side of herself to the viewing public — something that endeared her to fans and, at times, brought challenges within the house.
“I’m loud, yes. I’m intense, yes. But I’m also real,” she said, laughing. “And you stayed with me. Thank you for that.”
The 20-year-old actress didn’t shy away from speaking her mind inside the house, a trait she thought would cost her dearly. But instead, it earned her genuine admiration and strong support from viewers who resonated with her authenticity.
During her first nomination, fans rallied behind her and her then-duo Dustin Yu, helping her survive that eviction week. Their bond became one of the most talked-about friendships in the house, and Xyriel made sure to acknowledge that.
“Salamat sa inyong lahat. You didn’t just vote for me — you believed in me,” she said tearfully.
Xyriel’s eviction, alongside Kapuso actor Vince Maristela, was one of the most emotional episodes of the season. With only 4.06 percent of the public vote, she became the latest housemate to exit the show.
Upon stepping out of the house, Xyriel ran into the arms of PBB host Enchong Dee, who had just returned to hosting duties that day.
“Sinakto mo naman ang pagka-evict mo, pumasok ako today,” said Enchong.
Co-host Bianca Gonzalez also fought back tears as she welcomed the young actress back to the outside world.
Despite the heartbreak of eviction, Xyriel’s message to her fans remained one of love, gratitude, and humor.
“Sana love niyo pa rin ako. Sana hindi kayo magsawang sumuporta,” she said with a wink. “At kung nag-iingay ako sa loob ng bahay ni Kuya, mas mag-iingay tayo dito sa labas!”
More than entertainment, Xyriel hopes her journey left behind a trail of lessons.
“Sana may napulot kayong aral at inspirasyon. Hindi ako si Kuya, pero parang ako na rin minsan sa dami ng words of wisdom ko,” she joked.
