Four individuals, including the suspect, were killed in a shooting incident during a flag-raising ceremony at a barangay hall in Dasmariñas City, Cavite, on Monday morning.
Police Regional Office 4A (PRO 4A) confirmed that three of the fatalities were barangay officials, while the fourth was the suspect, identified as 50-year-old “Ariel,” a former barangay tanod.
PRO 4A reported that the suspect suddenly approached the area from behind during the flag-raising ceremony in front of the barangay hall. He immediately drew an unidentified firearm and began shooting at the barangay officials present in the area.
