At 24, Jenzen Guino is no stranger to the spotlight.
This month, he returns with a renewed spirit, a sharpened sound and a soul-baring single that marks both a reintroduction and reinvention.
With “Rosas”, the Taguig-born singer-songwriter embarks on a deeply personal musical voyage that promises to elevate his artistry to greater heights.
Though his name has long resonated within the local music community, thanks to viral Facebook and YouTube covers that earned him a loyal fanbase, Guino’s new release isn’t just another milestone. It’s a turning point.
“I’m not always outspoken,” Jenzen said. “But I speak the loudest with every lyric and melody I create.”
Born into a family of singers, music has always been Jenzen’s native language. But his unique ability to translate raw, human emotion into poignant, poetic lyricism has set him apart. Fusing the rhythmic ease of R&B with soaring pop hooks and soul-searching balladry, his songs are, in his own words “love letters and late-night conversations.”
The numbers speak for themselves: His breakout original “Hangganan” amassed over 2.3 million Spotify streams, while “Dito Lang Ako” surpassed 1.5 million plays on the platform and an impressive 3.8 million views on YouTube. With more than one million subscribers, Jenzen’s voice has already found a home in countless hearts.
Now, with “Rosas,” he is set to deepen that connection. Produced by acclaimed audio engineer Gab Tagadtad and released under EMI Records Philippines, the track explores the beauty and ache of unrequited love — steadfast, unwavering and emotionally resonant. “I want this to be the soundtrack of anyone who is giving or receiving love,” he said.
To bring his new music closer to his audience, Jenzen is launching a nationwide coffee shop tour, a series of intimate performances designed to mirror warm, confessional nature of his songwriting.
