The Manila Police District (MPD) District Drug Enforcement Unit, in a buy-bust operation, has arrested a notorious pusher in Tondo early dawn Saturday in Moriones, Tondo, Manila.

Police identified the suspect as Rolly Muring y Mercado alias Ricky, single, jobless, previously charged with Violation of RA 9165, and residing at 1320 C 46 CP. Garcia St., Barangay 123, Tondo, Manila.

The suspect was arrested in front of Grace Store, Road 10 Mel Lopez Boulevard corner Moriones St., Barangay 123, Tondo, Manila, at about 3:35 a.m. on May 17, 2025.

Based on the report, police had sent a poseur buyer for the sale of shabu in the amount of P5,000, and upon the exchange, the poseur buyer made a signal, after which police effected the arrest.

Seized from the suspect was an estimated total weight of 200 grams, including its masking tape, with a DDB standard drug price of one million three hundred sixty thousand pesos (Php 1,360,000.00).

The suspect is presently detained at the MPD DEU detention cell, where he will be charged for violation of RA 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, at the Manila City Prosecutor’s Office.
