Norzagaray, Bulacan — Authorities seized P204 million worth of suspected shabu, or methamphetamine, during an operation in this town last Thursday.
The Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) reported that three individuals were arrested, while one person evaded capture during the operation.
The joint operation, conducted around 1:30 p.m. at the Payogi Leisure Hub in Barangay Minuyan, involved the Special Enforcement Service of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency National Office, the PDEA Regional Office III Bulacan Provincial Office, the Norzagaray Municipal Police Station, and the San Jose del Monte City Police Station.
The arrested suspects were identified as alias Jessie, alias Tina and alias Jess. Authorities are still searching for a Chinese national known as Tongo, considered a high-value target, who escaped arrest.
Approximately 30 kilograms of suspected shabu were confiscated from the suspects. Authorities also seized marked money, identification cards, cellphones, and a vehicle.
Investigators are exploring possible links between this group and another group arrested during a drug operation on Tuesday in Angeles City, Pampanga, where P680 million worth of illegal drugs were confiscated.
