After capturing the hearts of audiences across the Philippines with its emotionally powerful performances, San Pedro Calungsod The Musical is set to reach new heights with the release of its highly anticipated cast album.
Originally staged between 2014 and 2016 with a triumphant final performance at the Music Museum in February 2020, this musical masterpiece will now be available for listeners worldwide in the form of a beautifully crafted recording that preserves its message of faith, sacrifice, and devotion.
At the center of this album is acclaimed Filipino performer Gerald Santos, who reprises his role as the beloved young saint Pedro Calungsod. His voice breathes new life into soul-stirring songs such as “I Offer My Life” and “The Journey.”
The album showcases 18 meticulously composed tracks written by Antonino Rommel Ramilo, the visionary behind the musical’s libretto and stage direction.
“This album is more than just music — it’s a mission,” Santos said. “It’s about carrying forward the spirit of Pedro Calungsod, who showed us what it means to live a life of faith, courage, and ultimate sacrifice.”
