
Six of eleven senatorial candidates under the administration slate Alyansa para sa Bagong Pilipinas landed on the Magic 12 as of 10 p.m., potentially making up one-fourth of the 24-seat Senate.
Partial and unofficial results from the Commission on Elections (Comelec) for the 2025 senatorial race showed that Alyansa’s highest placer was Erwin Tulfo, clinching the fourth spot with 15.5 million votes.
Panfilo “Ping” Lacson placed sixth with 13.8 million votes, followed by Vicente “Tito” Sotto at seventh with 13.6 million votes.
Re-electionist Senator Pia Cayetano landed in the ninth spot with 13.3 million votes, followed by Camille Villar at 10th with 12.2 million votes. Re-electionist Senator Lito Lapid secured the last spot with nearly 12 million votes.
Meanwhile, Alyansa’s closest rival, PDP-Laban’s standard-bearer, re-electionist Senator Christopher “Bong” Go, is maintaining a strong lead with a wide margin of 24.3 million votes.
Another PDP-Laban bets, re-electionist Senator Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa and Rodante Marcoleta, also entered the Magic 12, ranking third and eighth, respectively, with 10.8 million votes and 8.2 million votes.
Opposition’s Bam Aquino and Francis Pangilinan also have significantly high chances of winning Senate seats, garnering 19.3 million votes and over 14 million votes, respectively, for the second and fifth place.
Only re-electionist Senator Imee Marcos was the only independent candidate to land on the so-called Magic 12 with 11.9 million votes.
