Uncle Drew Pilipinas swept both the men's and women's divisions in the final leg of the vivo 3x3 Basketball Challenge held on 3 May at SM Fairview, marking a rare double victory in the grassroots tournament's third season.
The tournament, now in its third year, has expanded into one of the most prominent amateur 3x3 competitions in the country. The final qualifying leg featured fast-paced games and a returning crowd favorite, the Last Man Standing shootout, drawing spectators throughout the day.
The wins by Uncle Drew Pilipinas set the stage for the Grand Finals, scheduled for 9 and 10 May at the SM Mall of Asia Music Hall, where semifinalist teams from earlier legs will compete for the championship.
Adding star power to the finals, San Antonio Spurs forward Jeremy Sochan is expected to attend. Sochan, who previously earned MVP honors at the 2019 FIBA U16 European Championship, will appear during the final matches.
The upcoming finals will also feature interactive fan activities, including raffle draws and mini-games, as well as giveaways of branded merchandise.
The event is open to the public, with live coverage and updates available on vivo Philippines’ official social media platforms.
