Senator Christopher “Bong” Go reiterated his call for more accessible and sustainable housing programs during the Filipino Homes Unit Managers Conference held Friday, 25 April 2025, at the Nustar Resort & Casino.
Speaking through his representative, Girlie Veloso, Go emphasized the need for stronger public-private partnerships to achieve the administration’s housing targets and uplift the lives of low-income families.
The event, themed “The Future of Real Estate: Leadership, Networking, and Branding for Success,” brought together real estate professionals, unit managers, and industry leaders to discuss strategies for leadership development and sector growth.
Veloso highlighted the vital role of real estate professionals in economic development and community building, quoting Go as saying, "Leadership, networking, and branding are not just keys to success in business; they are also essential to building trust, nurturing communities, and shaping a better future for our country."
Go, a known supporter of socialized housing efforts, has filed multiple bills in support of this advocacy, including Senate Bill No. 192, which proposes a Rental Housing Subsidy Program, and Senate Bill No. 426, aimed at strengthening the National Housing Development, Production, and Financing Program. Both measures back the government’s flagship housing initiative, the Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino (4PH) Program.
He also thanked the Filipino Homes community for its contributions to nation-building. “As he continues to humbly seek your trust and support, Senator Go remains committed to his advocacy of fast, compassionate, and honest public service. His ‘bisyo’ will always be to serve—and he vows to keep serving to the best of his ability,” Veloso said.
Go expressed optimism that conferences like this would further solidify the real estate sector’s role in helping every Filipino attain safe and affordable housing.
“Mabuhay po kayong lahat at maraming salamat sa Filipino Homes sa patuloy na pagiging kaagapay sa pagbuo ng mas maayos na kinabukasan para sa bawat Pilipino,” his message concluded.
