Multi-titled mentor Dexter Clamor will take over as head coach of University of Perpetual Help System Dalta when it sees action in Season 102 of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) of the Philippines men’s volleyball tournament.

Clamor, who served as mentor of Cignal in the Spikers’ Turf before succeeding Macky Cariño, will be bringing along former Altas Spikers Sandy Montero and EJ Casaña into the coaching staff as he seeks to lead Perpetual to the NCAA title.

Clamor will have a powerful crew with six holdovers in John Castil, Dexter Arrozado, Klint Mateo, Charles Pallasa, James Pascua, Justin Favila, Ike Jolaton Nash Abenoja, Rookie of the Year awardee Marc Tangon, and 2nd Best Middle Blocker awardee Jester Bornel along with rookies Daryll Torio, Dave Borasca, John Penaroyo, JP Noblefranca, Steven Corpuz, Josh Cubar Dino Espiritu and Marius Calijan.

“Well, when they called to offer me the position, honestly, I was surprised. But at the back of my mind, I felt that maybe it’s time to give back to my alma mater,” Clamor, who led Perpetual to back-to-back titles on top of Most Valuable Player and Best Setter awards during his collegiate career in Season 87.

“I want to share with the players the knowledge and experience I’ve gained from playing and coaching with club teams and the National Team. I want to help them grow, not just as volleyball players, but also as individuals.”
