Being one with nature is inherently rewarding. Think lush sceneries, melodies of birds, sputters of raindrops, gentle breeze of the wind. It really does wonders to the mind, body and spirit.
Magarra Hotel in Orani, Bataan is tucked within lush vegetation and forests where one can immerse in the serene call of nature. There’s no blinding and harsh surroundings, but rather radiant sun, fresh mountain air, blooming flora and relaxing fauna.

Family business
It was in 2019 when Bea Gonzales’ family made a trip to Sinagtala Farm Resort and Adventure Park. One of its owners, a friend of her dad, pitched the idea of them putting up a hotel in the area. Having previously owned Acacia Hotel in Alabang, it was a challenge well accepted by the family.
“We fell in love with the place. The scenery, the mountain views. It was really a sanctuary,” Bea Gonzales, president and co-founder of Magarra Hotel, told DAILY TRIBUNE.
Magarra, derived from the Filipino term magara (elegant, fancy), is a 1.3 hectare property that offers a quick getaway from the city. Each room of the hotel is 40 square meters wide that highlights Filipino sophistication with posh modern interior. Overlooking the balconies is the breathtaking view of Orani’s mountainscape.

“Magara means above and beyond beautiful. Grand. Elegant. That’s how we want our service to be and that’s how we want people to feel while they’re here. We want every corner to be just that,” Gonzales said.
The hotel, currently with three buildings and 18 rooms, will have an additional 23 buildings that will bring the total number of rooms to 164.
Bask in the serene view of nature at the View Deck. It is the perfect backdrop whether you’re planning a romantic date under the stars or a cozy gathering in the early morning with friends and family. This outdoor haven is also the best place to try Magarra’s Suman Batirol.
With its chic and cozy ambiance, Matikas Café perfectly complements the natural beauty surrounding the hotel.
