Asia’s Multimedia Star Alden Richards is set to pursue his longtime dream of becoming a pilot this year. After fulfilling his late mother’s wish for him to become an actor, Richards now hopes to realize his father’s personal dream of flying.
The actor revealed that he is in talks with an aviation school in Pampanga, which offered him a scholarship to support his training. While details are still being finalized, Richards expressed excitement over the opportunity. On social media, he shared that he successfully landed a plane using a flight simulator, writing, “Reaching new heights, one flight at a time.”
Richards also visited Alpha Aviation Group in Clark, Pampanga, where he posed with training equipment and planes bearing the words "Ready for training."
In past interviews, Richards opened up about his motivation to pursue flying.
"I'm very excited. Because it has been my dad's dream also. Personal dream niya ang maging pilot, so sabi ko, 'Sige Dad, since 58 ka na, ako na lang.' That's why I'm very excited. So hopefully this year kung matapos ko iyong course, lipad-lipad na tayo," he said.
Not afraid of heights, Richards shared that he enjoys high places for the unique perspective they offer.
"Wala po, nag-skydive nga po ako sa Dubai e. Mahilig po ako sa matataas na lugar, parang it gives you an earth’s eye view," he revealed.
Aside from his aviation plans, Richards remains busy managing his production company and restaurant business.
