Actress and comedienne Rufa Mae Quinto is celebrating her newfound freedom after the Pasay Regional Trial Court officially quashed the case filed against her involving multiple alleged violations of the Securities Regulation Code (SRC).

The court's decision, dated 24 April 2025, effectively nullified the 14 counts filed by 39 complainants against Quinto for allegedly violating Section 8 of the SRC. The quashal of the case means the court has voided all previous legal actions—including subpoenas, warrants of arrest, and charges—effectively ending her legal battle.

In an Instagram post on Friday, 2 May, Quinto shared the news with her signature humor and enthusiasm:

"FFF hooray! Case quashed! I’m free as a kite! To GOD be the GO GO GLORY! GO GROW GLOW!"

Rufa Mae also revealed that she is taking time to pamper herself as she prepares for upcoming projects:

"Nag hahanda , preparing for something New and Big ! Ako na din nag make up to Myself ! Iba din nagagawa kapag malaya sa kaso ! Salamat sa inyong lahat na naniwala at nag tiwala saakin," she added.

(Getting refreshed, pampering, consultations, visits… preparing for something new and big! I even did my own makeup! It really feels different when you're free from a case!)

The actress did not disclose specific details about the court’s decision but expressed her deep gratitude to all who stood by her throughout the legal ordeal.

Back on 9 January 2025, Quinto was released on bail after spending the night at the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) headquarters. The bail process at the Pasay RTC had not been completed in time the night before, resulting in her temporary detention.

She posted bail amounting to PHP 1.7 million to secure her provisional liberty.
