As Kaunlad Pinoy made its way through Capiz, first nominee Kuya Choi paid a courtesy visit to veteran lawmaker and current Governor Fredenil Castro — one of the most respected public servants in Western Visayas.
During their meeting, Kuya Choi introduced Kaunlad Pinoy’s mission to uplift Filipino families through entrepreneurship, financial independence and values-driven leadership. “It’s not enough to have a smart leader,” he said. “We need leaders who listen, who care and who implement programs that are rooted in the real needs of the people.”
Kuya Choi emphasized that good governance is not just about managing systems, but about building lives.
“Good governance means making opportunity accessible,” he said. “It’s not about giving handouts — it’s about paving roads toward self-sufficiency. We want every Filipino to have the tools to start a business, to stay with their families, and to succeed in their own hometowns.”
Governor Castro welcomed the discussion and listened thoughtfully to Kaunlad Pinoy’s platform.
Known for his long-standing commitment to public service, the governor showed openness to ideas that place people at the heart of development.
