After a long hiatus from the scene, the body that matters is finally back.
SM Arena exploded recently with a lineup of the hottest and most wanted celebrities, personalities, super athletes, hot mommas and top models who paraded down the runway in summer readiness.
The successful return of the iconic Bench Body — now Bench Body of Work — left no space for seating as the venue was filled to overflowing and plenty more waiting to get a ticket by chance.
A seemingly endless parade of sizzling body-beautiful faces were segmented and forwardly fashioned in street wear, athletic/ sportswear, fantasy and couture stylized with leather, chains, feathers, fringes, glitters and metals. The monumental show that has captivated the country for years continues to surprise its audience to delight beyond expectations.
Bench Body of Work was under the creative direction of Ben Chan and produced by Bench. The show wouldn’t have possible without the assembly of some of the country’s crème de la crème creatives: Artistic direction by Gypsy Snider; fashion show director Robby Carmona; creative consultant and head stylist Noel Manapat; artistic team for lights, music, video and acrobatic performances Les 7 Doigts; and stage designer Gino Gonzales. Designer collaborations included Joey Samson, Herbert Custodio, Ricky Vicencio, Arnel Papa, Renan Pacson, Russell Villafuerte, Kristine Ordinario, Dylan Gallaza, Jeremiah Oribe and Chrisdale.
The Bench Body is an unparalleled industry event that has made a mark in Philippine fashion history. As years go by, their outstanding shows just keep getting better. The legendary retail brand has created a compelling and unforgettable body of work that will be remembered from generation to generation. And everyone can’t help but look forward to next year’s show.
