BAGUIO CITY — A man was declared dead-on-arrival at the hospital moments after an unidentified gunman shot him thrice in the evening of 25 March at Turod, Barangay Zone 3, Bangued, Abra.
The victim was identified as Juanito Limis Gammong, 58 years old, married, unemployed, and a resident of Barangay Dangdangla, Bangued, Abra. He was temporarily staying at Turod, Zone 3, Bangued, Abra.
The shooting incident happened at around past 7 p.m. and was reported to the police at 7:20 p.m. of the said date.
Based on the initial investigation of the police, Gammong was about to go to the house he was staying to rest. The suspect still yet to be identified followed him and fired at him three times afterwards fled to an unknown direction.
The victim sustained three gunshot wounds on his nape and exited to his forehead, right clavicle and exited to his right scapula, and abdomen that exited to his posterior right chest. He was rushed by personnel of the Bangued Police to the Abra Provincial Hospital for medical treatment but did not make it.
