The local government of Valenzuela City has provided its police force with new cars and motorcycles, aiming to enhance crime prevention efforts.

In a statement, Valenzuela Mayor Weslie Gatchalian disclosed that the local government allocated P49 million for the purchase of 40 Honda ADV motorcycles, 22 Toyota Veloz cars and three Toyota Hilux trucks.

Gatchalian led the distribution, stating the city will continue to budget for improved police vehicles and equipment.

“When our children come home and our spouses walk safely, we feel at ease; this is a symbol that we are surrounded by a strong sense of security, and we have no fear because we can see our police officers around us,” Gatchalian said.

He said the initiative aligns with the city’s “Valenzuelife” motto, focused on improving livability and livelihood.
