DSWD redirects AICS applicants to Commonwealth satellite office

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) said applicants seeking financial assistance under its Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS) program no longer need to queue at its Central Office in Quezon City.
DSWD spokesperson Assistant Secretary Irene Dumlao said AICS processing was transferred in July 2025 to the agency’s Commonwealth Satellite Office at Paragon Place along Commonwealth Avenue.
“The processing of AICS applications has long been transferred to our satellite office at Paragon, near Ever Commonwealth in Quezon City,” Dumlao said Saturday.
She issued the clarification after a social media post showed people lining up outside the DSWD Central Office.
Dumlao said the agency was still determining the purpose of the queue but acknowledged concerns over long lines and the difficulties faced by people seeking government assistance.
The Paragon Place facility has air-conditioning, elevators and larger waiting areas. It also uses an online appointment system to help manage client visits, Dumlao said.
