The Philippine National Police Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG) announced Monday the arrest of six individuals for the illegal sale and distribution of vape products.
The PNP-CIDG identified the suspects by their aliases “Seb,” “Mon,” “Genevieve,” “Rorem,” “Kenneth” and “Pahrysz.” They were arrested in Barangays Bagbag and Roxas District on 12 March.
Police said the seized vape products, valued at P3.9 million, were sold without the necessary permits.
The suspects will face charges for violating Republic Act 11900 (Vaporized Nicotine and Non-Nicotine Products Regulation Act); Republic Act 10643 (Graphic Health Warnings Law); Republic Act 10175 (Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012); and Section 10, in relation to Section 18(a) of Republic Act 7394 (Consumer Act of the Philippines).
