Jaecoo Philippines just pulled off something pretty impressive with their very first hybrid, the J7 Super Hybrid System (SHS). Recently, the Automobile Association Philippines (AAP) officially verified its range after the J7 traveled a remarkable 1,488.8 kilometers on just one full tank of gas and a single full electric charge.
Instead of playing it safe, Jaecoo decided to test their new hybrid on a challenging route filled with urban traffic, highways and even some tough mountainous stretches. For four straight days, two J7 SHS hybrids faced varied and demanding terrains — everything from city jams to steep inclines and sharp descents. The idea was to show people exactly how the car performs in the conditions they’d realistically encounter every day.
After the tests, the Automobile Association Philippines (AAP) officially verified the results. One of the vehicles covered an impressive 1,488.8 kilometers on just one full tank of fuel combined with a single electric charge. The other vehicle was close behind, reaching 1,480.1 kilometers. Even after such an extensive trip, both hybrids still had some driving range left — 44 km and 24 km respectively — demonstrating consistent and reliable fuel efficiency.
On top of the mileage, the J7 SHS offers features that fit the needs of everyday Filipino drivers. It has a roomy interior thanks to a 2,666mm wheelbase and the flexibility of running fully electric for short drives or switching seamlessly to gasoline when needed. Plus, with advanced safety features (ADAS), this car is built to offer both performance and peace of mind for busy professionals.
“The J7 SHS’ AAP Verification Range highlights its superior range and performance in the world of hybrid models. This achievement amplifies our ongoing commitment to advancing sustainable automotive technologies aimed to improve the driving experience of modern drivers by setting new and world-class standards for hybrid vehicles,” Marco Chen, Omoda & Jaecoo Motor Philippines’ country director said.
Interested buyers may inquire about the model via the social media pages of the dealerships in UN Avenue, Manila; Sta. Rosa, Laguna; Alabang, Muntinlupa City; Marcos Highway, Pasig City. They may also check the model out at its first dealership store at the G-Mall, Cebu City.
