Fans of controversial Hollywood actor Armie Hammer were stunned when he revealed that he once explored his sexuality by hooking up with another man through Grindr, a popular dating app for gay, bisexual, and transgender people.
Hammer made the revelation in Episode 119 of The Armie HammerTime Podcast, where he spoke with actress and mental health coach Dani Druz. Their conversation touched on Dani’s experience coming out as LGBTQIA+ and her first relationship with a woman.
After Dani shared her story, Armie recounted his own, revealing that he once used a dating app to meet up with a man. He matched with a French guy and later met him at a restaurant.
“I tried hooking up with a dude one time. It was hilarious,” he admitted.
“I’m at the restaurant, and my phone blows up—it’s Grindr. Someone else messages me saying, ‘I’m at the same restaurant. Do you want a blwjb in the bathroom?’”
Armie recalled finding his date attractive and being open to the experience, but when things turned physical, he felt uncomfortable.
**“I started making out with him, and I just remember thinking, ‘God, beards!’ I get why women like it when you shave. This thing is f*cking rough.
“I put my arms around him and thought, ‘Oh my God, his shoulders are so broad. He’s huge—almost my height. This feels so strange.’”**
Before things went further, he abruptly stopped.
**“Physically, for me, it did absolutely nothing. Not even a twitch.
“We were making out, things were getting hotter, but I was just going through the motions.
“He reached for my d*ck, and I was like, ‘You’re not gonna touch my flaccid penis. This is not gonna happen. I’m sorry.’”**
Hammer admitted that curiosity led him to the encounter, believing at the time that “women are the worst, and gay dudes seem to have it so easy.”
Once a sought-after Hollywood leading man, Armie Hammer is known for films such as The Lone Ranger (2013), The Man from U.N.C.L.E. (2015), and Call Me by Your Name (2017).
