LRT-2 to offer free rides, haircuts for Women’s Month in March

The Light Rail Transit (LRT) Line 2 is offering free rides and haircuts to women passengers throughout March as part of the "Serbisyo para kay Juana 2025" initiative led by the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) for Women’s Month.

According to the PCW, all LRT-2 stations will provide free rides to women on Saturday, 8 March, during peak hours from 7 AM to 9 AM and again from 5 PM to 9 PM. To avail of the free ride, passengers simply need to visit the ticket booth to collect their free tickets.

Additionally, free haircuts will be available for the first 30 passengers on 12 March at Antipolo station, and on 19 and 26 March at Cubao station.

On 5 March, LRT-2 will also be giving out roses to women at Antipolo station (concourse level).

Other Women’s Month perks include the free issuance of civil registration documents for the first 100 transacting women at Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) CRS outlets nationwide on 3, 10, 17, and 24 March. Additionally, the Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife Center will offer free admission to female visitors on 8 March.
