'Libreng sakay' announced for LRT-1, LRT-2, MRT-3 amid Typhoon #UwanPH

Free train rides are expected amid Typhoon Uwan on 10 to 11 November, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) announced on Sunday.

The Light Rail Transit Lines 1 and 2, as well as the Metro Rail Transit Line 3, will offer free rides for the entire day.

In coordination with the Office of the President, the Philippine Coast Guard, the Philippine Ports Authority, and the office of Senator Erwin Tulfo, free bus rides will also be provided on Monday, 10 November, along the following routes:

• Quiapo to Fairview, Quezon City

• Quiapo to Angono, Rizal

• Lawton to Alabang, Muntinlupa City

• Roxas Boulevard to Sucat, Parañaque

• Taft Avenue to Cubao, Quezon City

Aside from free train and bus rides, toll, RoRo, and cargo fees for vehicles carrying emergency, rescue equipment and relief goods for Typhoon Uwan will also be waived.
