ILOILO CITY — The city and provincial governments of Iloilo are taking a major leap toward digital transformation with the launch of two key platforms — electronic Government System and Platforms (eGovPH) and the local government digitalization (eLGU) system on Tuesday, 25 February.
Developed by the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), eGovPH promotes a whole-of-government approach to information systems, while eLGU provides technical assistance for capacity building, system development, and the integration of frontline services with back-end functions.
DICT regional director Ralph Joseph Moncatar emphasized the initiative’s role in transforming government operations.
“With eGovPH and eLGU, we aim to modernize, streamline, and bring local government services closer to the people,” he said.
