BAGUIO CITY — With colorful flower-filled floats big and small participating in the Grand Float Parade of the Panagbenga or the Baguio Festival 2025, people — both residents and visitors — are excited.

Yearly, private companies and institutions and also government agencies participate in the parade with their floats adorned with thousands to tons of kilos of flowers with different designs and concepts.

For Jed Ong-Cunanan, the son of the owner of Paragon, one of the big hotels and restaurants in town, he wants to bring smile to the people especially the children with a float dedicated to Superhero Batman.

According to Cunanan, he chose Batman this year as he symbolizes justice, bravery and transparency.t Last year, his entry is a lego-inspired float. He said his entries are non-competing ones as he only likes to join the community effort in making Panagbenga a truly festive one.

The float which was adorned with various type of flowers like Rados and Malaysian mum’s among others cost more than a million pesos. Filipino actor Ketchup Eusebio will ride the said float just like what he did last year.
