Cebu Pacific is set to make history as it launches the first-ever direct flights from Cebu to Ho Chi Minh City on 7 April 2025, providing a seamless connection between Central Visayas and Vietnam.
This new route will operate three times a week—every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday—allowing travelers to explore Vietnam’s vibrant culture and business opportunities without the need for connecting flights.
To celebrate the milestone, Cebu Pacific is offering promo fares as low as PHP 1 (exclusive of fees and surcharges) for bookings made between February 20 and 24. The travel period covers 7 April to 31 July 2025. Passengers can conveniently book using credit/debit cards, e-wallets, or the airline’s travel fund option.
Cebu Pacific President Xander Lao emphasized the significance of this expansion, noting that Vietnam has become an increasingly popular destination for Filipino travelers.
“As Vietnam continues to grow in popularity among Filipino travelers, launching a new gateway to the country via Ho Chi Minh City is an exciting step for Cebu Pacific,” Lao said.
Beyond tourism, the new route also strengthens business and cultural ties between the Philippines and Vietnam, making it easier for entrepreneurs, students, and expatriates to travel between the two nations.
“We look forward to offering travelers from Cebu the chance to explore a new destination with ease and to welcoming more international visitors to discover the Philippines,” he added.
Cebu Pacific has played a pivotal role in expanding affordable air travel, connecting regional hubs with key international destinations. The Cebu-Ho Chi Minh route aligns with the airline’s mission to enhance accessibility and foster economic exchanges across the ASEAN region.
With the Philippines' airline industry continuing to grow, this latest route is expected to boost tourism, trade, and mobility, reinforcing Cebu Pacific’s position as a leader in budget-friendly, international travel.
