A former Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) won over P13 million in the Lotto 6/42 draw on Tuesday, 28 January 2025. The winning combination, 10-22-31-28-11-14, earned the lucky player a total of P13,131,506.60.
The winner, who purchased the ticket from a Lotto outlet in Biliran, Visayas, chose the numbers based on significant dates — his siblings' and wife's birthdays.
The anonymous winner plans to use the prize money to support his existing business and expand it by opening a new store. He claimed his winnings at the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) Main Office in Mandaluyong City, accompanied by his wife.
To claim prizes, winners must present their original signed ticket along with two valid government-issued IDs. As mandated by the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion (TRAIN) Law, a 20 percent tax will be deducted from any prize exceeding P10,000.
Winners have one year from the draw date to claim their prize, after which unclaimed winnings are forfeited and added to the PCSO Charity Fund.
Lotto 6/42 is drawn every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday at 9:00 PM and can be watched live on IBC TV 13 and the PCSO Games Online Hub Facebook page.
