In a proactive step toward enhancing responsible gaming practices and attaining Responsible Gaming Level 3 Certification from the World Lottery Association (WLA), the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) held a strategic meeting with various stakeholders on 28 January 2025 at its Main Office in Mandaluyong City.
This meeting, centered on Responsible Gaming (RG) Principles and Practices, was chaired by PCSO’s Assistant General Manager for Gaming, Product Development, and Marketing Sector, Atty. Lyssa Grace S. Pagano.
During the meeting, stakeholders were urged to incorporate Responsible Gaming principles into advertising and game development to better protect vulnerable groups. The discussions included educational campaigns featuring RG messages and partnerships with PCSO aimed at enhancing responsible advertising and participation in RG initiatives. The social benefits of responsible gaming were emphasized, linking PCSO programs to healthcare, education, and charitable activities.
PCSO aims to achieve Level 3 certification by May 2025.
The meeting was attended by key figures from the gaming and broadcasting sectors, including Mr. Ricky Banaag, President and CEO of DFNN, Inc.; Mr. Donald Limcaco, Chief Operations Officer of DFNN, Inc.; Mr. Jose C. Policarpio, Jr., President and CEO of Intercontinental Broadcasting Corporation (IBC); Dr. Corazon C. Reboroso, General Manager of IBC; Mr. Tan Eng Hwa, President of Pinoy Lotto Technologies Corporation; Mr. Jeremy Go, Vice President for Marketing of Powerball Marketing Logistics Corporation; along with representatives from external suppliers and broadcast networks.
