
The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) expanded its healthcare and humanitarian outreach in June through a series of medical missions and aid distribution activities benefiting communities in Batangas and Dagupan City.
On 24 June, the PCSO Medical Services Department conducted a medical and dental mission in Lian, Batangas, providing free healthcare services to underserved residents.
Led by Dr. Juliet Diaz in coordination with the office of PCSO Director Imelda Papin, the mission served 133 patientsthrough medical consultations, while 32 beneficiaries received dental services, including tooth extractions. Residents also availed themselves of health screenings, electrocardiograms (ECGs), and free medicines.
PCSO also donated additional medicines to the community upon the request of Balikatan Batangas Chapter Chair Louie Malvar to support local fisherfolk and tourism workers.
A day later, on 25 June, the agency turned over medical devices and mobility aids to beneficiaries in Batangas' 2nd District through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program.
Representing PCSO General Manager Melquiades Robles, Executive Assistant VI Atty. Maria Katrina Nicole Contacto-Ventanilla led the turnover ceremony at the PCSO Main Office. The assistance was received on behalf of Batangas 2nd District Rep. Gerville Luistro by Political Affairs Officer II Albert Mendoza, who said the equipment would be distributed to qualified beneficiaries across the district.
Earlier, on 10 June, PCSO also turned over humanitarian assistance to the Dagupan City Government, led by General Manager Robles and received by Mayor Belen Fernandez.
The assistance included 100 Charitimba food packs, 50 wheelchairs, 20 walkers, and 20 canes, which will benefit indigent families, senior citizens, and persons with disabilities.
PCSO said the initiatives reflect its continuing commitment to improving access to healthcare, enhancing mobility, and supporting vulnerable communities through its medical and corporate social responsibility programs.
