Actress and TV host Kim Chiu, of Filipino-Chinese descent, celebrated the start of the Lunar New Year on 29 January by consulting Feng Shui expert Johnson Chua in her latest vlog.
Chiu shared her belief in Chinese New Year traditions, describing it as a time for “New Year, New Life, and New Hopes” as the Year of the Wooden Snake begins.
In her video, Chiu shared general insights from Chua about what to expect this year and sought personal advice as someone born in the Year of the Horse.
The vlog also featured a playful moment where Chiu asked for insights regarding her onscreen partner Paulo Avelino, who was born in the Year of the Dragon.
According to Chua, the Dragon is among the lucky animal signs this year, particularly in relationships — a comment that gave Chiu the perfect opportunity to promote her upcoming film, My Love Will Make You Disappear, in which she stars alongside Avelino.
Chiu’s engagement with feng shui highlights her appreciation for her Chinese heritage and serves as a lighthearted and meaningful way to welcome the Lunar New Year with optimism.
