While taking a lie detector test for the Thursday, 16 January episode of Vanity Fair’s web series, Blackpink star Rosé addressed speculation surrounding her song “Toxic Till the End” and its alleged connection to Karate Kid actor Jaden Smith, with whom she has been spotted in the past.

The song, featured on her December debut album rosie, explores themes of a controlling and possessive ex-partner.

“No, it’s not about Jaden Smith,” the 27-year-old singer clarified, passing the lie detector test. She added, “He’s a good friend, though,” and even gave a cheerful wave to the camera, saying, “Hi, Jaden. Miss you lots.”

When asked directly if she had ever dated Smith, Rosé firmly responded, “No.” The test administrator confirmed her answer as truthful, prompting Rosé to laugh and nod.

“Toxic Till the End” became Rosé’s third entry on the Billboard Hot 100 in December, landing at No. 90. Her debut album also produced her first top 10 hit with “APT.,” a duet with Bruno Mars that peaked at No. 5 earlier this month.
