Lierge Perey, Gen Z’s beauty barometer
The beauty industry never runs out of the next big thing. But beyond the viral blushes and trending lipsticks, what makes a product worth keeping?
Lierge Perey has spent years finding the answer as a makeup reviewer. Now, with VxLierge, her latest collaboration with Vice Cosmetics, she is moving from reviewing beauty products to creating them.
A familiar name in Filipino beauty content, Perey has built her influence by sharing her makeup discoveries and listening to a community that looks to her for recommendations. After an earlier lip collaboration with Vice Cosmetics, she spent more than a year developing VxLierge, shaping everything from the shades to the packaging.
“I am a perfectionist, and I really wanted my ideas to come to life. I am very grateful to Vice Cosmetics for helping me make this dream come true,” Lierge said.
The collection features blush, brontour and eyeshadow palettes, lip liners and lipsticks, combining versatile formulas with unconventional shades and magnetic, stackable packaging. Rather than chasing a single beauty trend, VxLierge invites makeup lovers to experiment with their own style.
Is VxLierge worth the hype?
Packaging with a little extra thought
Before getting into the formulas, the packaging deserves a moment.
Magnetic, stackable makeup may not be new internationally, but it feels fresh in the local market. The individual palettes are lightweight and travel-friendly, while the larger case keeps everything organized for a vanity-worthy setup.
Each palette comes with its own mirror, and placing them side by side in the larger case creates a full-face mirror. The components feel light individually but have a satisfying weight when stacked together. It is premium beauty without sacrificing portability.
Blush first, questions later
The blush trio is an easy standout. The cream formulas are wonderfully smooth, blending effortlessly before setting into place. For Philippine weather, that balance is a welcome one: easy to blend, yet designed to stay put.
The pigmentation is intense, so start with a light hand if you prefer a subtle flush. A little goes a long way, making the creams economical, too.
The powder blushes are unbelievably silky, with a refined texture that feels luxurious. But the real star is the color story. Layer the shades together, and they create the prettiest gradient blush, adding dimension instead of leaving one flat wash of color on the cheeks. For blush lovers, this trio makes a convincing case for wearing more than one shade at a time.

Brontour for the bronzer-blind
Bronzer and contour may share a place in your makeup bag, but they do different jobs. VxLierge’s brontour trio makes room for both without making sculpting feel intimidating.
The cream bronzer blends smoothly and sets beautifully. It is pigmented but more forgiving than the cream blush, which is good news for anyone who prefers building warmth gradually. As someone with bronzer blindness, I appreciate a formula that does not demand a perfectly measured hand.
The powder bronzer may look intimidating at first, but its silky texture makes it easy to blend and build. The contour powder is another highlight, offering a sheerer payoff for more controlled definition. With cream bronzer for warmth and powder contour for sculpting, the trio strikes a practical balance for beginners and seasoned makeup lovers alike.
Eyeshadow that makes experimenting easier
Eyeshadow can be intimidating when one wrong swipe threatens to turn a smoky eye into a smoky mess. Thankfully, VxLierge makes experimenting feel less complicated.
The powders are soft and silky, with enough pigmentation to show up beautifully without becoming overwhelming after one dip. They blend smoothly, too, making patchy eyeshadow feel like less of a concern.
The shimmers deliver lovely color payoff while remaining easy to blend. One shade, Glass, stands apart with a more scattered, reflective finish and can double as a highlighter.
With palettes spanning smoky eyes, golden neutrals and softer pinks, there is room to switch up your look depending on the mood. Even beginners can experiment without feeling overwhelmed.
Lip liners that mean business
Lip liners may not get the same attention as lipsticks, but a good one can change an entire look. Think sharper edges, more defined lips and a more polished finish.
VxLierge offers eight shades, giving makeup lovers room to experiment with different lip combinations instead of relying on one universal nude. Each liner also comes with a built-in sharpener and a brush with a protective cap, making precise application and touch-ups easier.
The brush is especially handy for softening the outline and blending the liner into lipstick for a seamless finish. Paired with the collection’s nudes, concealer-inspired shades and brown-pink lip bullets, the liners offer more ways to personalize your lip look.
Lip bullets are all about the shades
The satin lip bullets make a strong case for looking beyond the finish and paying attention to color.
The satin texture gives the lips a polished look without the full-on shine of a gloss, but the shade selection is the real selling point. The concealer-inspired lips? Perfection. The nudes? Equally compelling. The brown-pinks? Genius.
Rather than treating nude lipstick as a one-shade-fits-all category, the collection explores different tones and depths. It is a thoughtful approach for anyone who has ever bought a trending nude only to find that it looks entirely different on their lips.
Beyond the formulas, shades and packaging, what makes VxLierge interesting is the thoughts behind it. Perey’s years of reviewing makeup have shaped her understanding of what works, but her creative process also reflects the people who have followed her journey.
“If they think that I’m such a huge influence to them, they’re also a huge influence to me. What they want, what they request, that’s also what I follow.”
