FPJ’s Batang Quiapo has a lot more surprises in store for viewers as Tanggol (Coco Martin) reaches a major turning point in his life to mark the series’ 500th episode.

Reeling from the pain and heartbreak about the truth that Rigor (John Estrada) isn’t his father, Tanggol is determined to unravel his real identity and search for his biological father. But before he moves on from that chapter of his life, all hell will break loose when he vents out his anger on Rigor for the years of suffering he caused him.

With no signs of slowing down as the series continues its celebration for its second anniversary, Coco shared that the story will soon take on an exciting new twist when it introduces fresh characters that Tanggol will meet along the way when he embarks on a new adventure.

“Ginalaw ko na ‘yung bawat character. Ito na ang lahat ng revelations kasi may papasok na mga bagong karakter at panibagong kwento. Gusto namin na parang ibang show na ang pinapanood ng viewers para hindi natatapos ang excitement gabi-gabi (This is all the revelations because new characters and new stories are coming. We want the viewers to feel like they are watching a different show so that the excitement doesn’t end every night)” said Coco in an interview with TV Patrol.

Coco also teased that the new cast members will be a welcome surprise for viewers since it will be a mix of veteran artists and some of today’s most sought-after stars.

“Dream cast. Lagi kong nilu-look forward na makatrabaho ang mga mahuhusay na veteran actors at ‘yung mga artista na gustong-gustong mapanood ng mga bata. Tamang combination ito ng cast (I always look forward to working with talented veteran actors and those artists that children love to watch. It’s the right combination of cast),” he said.

FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, inspired by the original story of Regal Films, airs weeknights at 8 p.m. on Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, TV5, iWantTFC, and Kapamilya Online Live. The latest episodes are available on-demand for up to 21 days after they are first streamed on Kapamilya Online Live on YouTube. For digital TV box users such as the TVplus box, rescan the device to be able to watch on TV5 and A2Z. Viewers outside of the Philippines can watch on The Filipino Channel (TFC) on cable and IPTV.
