Karla Estrada recently found herself at the center of criticism. Estrada posted a cryptic message that fueled netizens to bash her left and right. So, what was Estrada's post that merited the backlash?

“Fame where, Low life people. I don’t have time for this. By my lawyer has. Cyber lies here we go.”

This post from Estrada quickly ignited a fierce reaction online.

“Te balik ka muna sa school. Need mo ayusin ang grammar mo (Sis, go back to school. You need to fix your grammar),” one netizen wailed.

I know what you are saying pero sana try natin gawin ang tama as much as possible. Asan ‘yung think, proofread before you click/post??? (Even as kids, we’re already taught proper grammar — we’ve got English classes for that! That’s one thing we’re known for abroad: being good at English. Plus, with how high-tech everything is now, why not just double-check online before posting? As a celebrity, people look up to you, so it’s important to set a good example for the youth. Otherwise, they might think it’s okay to make mistakes as long as they’re understood, pointing to someone who also slips up but still has a lot of fans. I get what you’re trying to say, but let’s try to do things right whenever we can),” another netizen said.

But there are those who defended Estrada, like this netizen who said: “Mga Filipinos talaga kaya pinagtatawanan din ng ibang lahi, sobrang maka lait sa kapwa. Ok mali grammar niya, bakit nyo ginagawang katatawanan? Pwede mag-comment about improvement pero yung maliitin sya and gawin katatawanan? (Filipinos are really like this — that’s why other nationalities laugh at us. We’re too quick to insult. Sure, her grammar is wrong, but why turn it into a joke? You can give feedback for improvement without belittling her or making her a laughingstock).”

Estrada has already deleted that cryptic message.

Interestingly, Jellie Aw, a disc jockey and fiancée of Estrada’s ex-boyfriend, Jam Ignacio, posted this message on her Instagram Story. “Karla Estrada nananahimik ako! ‘Wag mo damay work ko nanahimik ako mommy (Karla Estrada, I’m staying quiet! Don’t drag my work into this — I’m staying quiet, mommy).”

Was Estrada’s now-deleted message alluding to her ex-boyfriend’s fiancée?

Why Coco Martin let go of some ‘Batang Quiapo’ characters

Of late, some popular characters in Batang Quiapo have perished.

In a recent interview, Coco Martin offered an explanation as to why he had to let go of some of the series’ most popular characters as the show enters its third year on air.

“Ginalaw ko na ‘yung bawat character. Ito na talaga lahat ng revelation kasi may papasok na mga bagong character, may bagong kwento (I shifted every character around. This is all part of the big reveal since new characters and new stories are coming in),” Martin said.

“Kung malaman na (ni Tanggol) ‘yung pagkatao niya, saan na papunta ‘yung panibagong journey ng buhay niya? ‘Yun ‘yung haharapin na namin sa 2025 (If Tanggol discovers who he really is, where will his new journey take him? That’s what we’ll dive into in 2025),” he added.
