Rising Kapamilya singer-actress Shanaia Gomez muses on the heartwarming feeling of a blooming romance in her latest single “State of Mind.”

The dance-pop track compares love to a fever dream that one wishes to never wake up from. Jeremy Glinoga composed and produced the song, while StarPop label head Roque “Rox” Santos served as its supervising producer.

“State of Mind” follows Shanaia’s previous singles “Cloud 9” and “Slow Dancing,” which all delved into different stories of love.

Shanaia started her music career when she joined the first season of Idol Philippines in 2019. She made her debut as a recording artist in 2022 with the release of her single “Para Sa’yo,” which was featured on Spotify’s EQUAL Philippines playlist.

Aside from singing, she was also one of the prominent housemates of Pinoy Big Brother: Kumunity Season 10. Following her “PBB” journey, Shanaia ventured into acting starring in various series such as Click, Like, Share; He’s Into Her and FPJ’s Batang Quiapo. Last year, she received praise for her performance in the comedy musical The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and the iWantTFC horror film Gatekeeper.
