From Chinatown to the world: Year one of Mr. and Ms. Chinatown Global 2025

The historic Chinatown, a vibrant hub of Chinese culture in the Philippines, is now the launching pad for a global celebration. This January 2025, the inaugural Mr. and Ms. Chinatown Global pageant takes center stage, bringing together talented and inspiring individuals of Chinese descent from around the world.

Organized by CHiNOY TV and the Federation of Filipino Chinese Association of the Philippines Foundation Inc., and presented by Oishi and Hilton Manila at Newport World Resorts, the pageant aims to honor Chinese heritage and foster unity among the global Chinese diaspora.

Twenty international delegates, each a unique embodiment of their cultural roots, were presented to the media at a recent event. The pageant will culminate on 20 January with the Grand Coronation Night at Hilton Manila, with the Winners’ Night coinciding with the joyous celebration of Chinese New Year.

Leading the Philippine delegation are Khryss Nicole Go, Gwyneth Yvonne Jao, Chiara Lim, Jastine Lim (for Miss Chinatown) and Kirby Mark Chen, Jeric Bennett Uy Mendoza and Rafael Jacque Balila (for Mr Chinatown).

Mr. and Ms. Chinatown Global transcends traditional pageantry. It’s a celebration of diversity, a platform for cultural exchange and an opportunity to inspire the next generation. Through a series of events and collaborations, the delegates will showcase their talents, charm, and understanding of their cultural heritage.

The rest of the candidates are Aravinda Rao — Singapore, Byron Sng — Malaysia, Duan Shiqing — China, Ethan Tam Ming Hao — Malaysia and Joseph Morris — Australia for the male pageant; and Clarysse Soo Yoke Yee — Malaysia, Candice Xiao Liang — USA, Zhang Ruoxi — China, Juliette Louie - Hong Kong, Rebecca Kwek — Singapore and Jenina Lui — Australia.
