ZAMBOANGA CITY — The Police Regional Office for Zamboanga Peninsula (PRO-9) has awarded a “heroism and wounded medal” to a police officer for his heroic actions during a covert operation on New Year’s Eve that led to the neutralization of two notorious guns for hire members in this city.
PRO-9 director Brig. Gen. Bowenn Joey Masauding on Sunday revealed that PRO-9 has awarded the Medalya ng Kadakilaan (PNP Heroism Medal) and the Medalya ng Sugatang Magiting (PNP Wounded Medal) and gave financial aid to Police Senior Master Sergeant (PSMS) Ryan Mariano, the brave cop.
The medals were presented by P/Brig. Gen. Masauding along with P/Lt. Col. Areston D. Limos, Officer-In-Charge of the Zamboanga City Police Office last Saturday.
