One person died from head injuries after a “triangle” cracker exploded, the Department of Health (DOH) reported Friday.
The victim was a 44-year-old male.
Meanwhile, the DOH logged additional 112 cases on New Year’s Eve, 31 December and 54 more cases on New Year, 1 January.
This brings the total case load to 704 cases, of which, two persons have died.
This is also 16.9 percent higher than the same period last year.
Additionally, 412 of the victims are below 19-years-old.
A total of 583 are female, while 121 are female:
Kwitis and boga remained the leading cause of firecracker-related injuries, according to DOH.
They are followed by unidentified crackers, 5-star, and whistle bomb.
