BAGUIO CITY — The Police Regional Office Cordillera Administrative Region (PRO-CAR) claimed that from 1 January to 31 December 2024, its operatives were able to arrest 335 drug personalities and confiscated more than P1.8 billion worth of illegal drugs.
The law enforcement institution stated that this was achieved because of its relentless campaign and series of operations last year.
Records from the Regional Operations Division of PRO-CAR show a total of 974 anti-illegal drug operations, including buy-bust operations, marijuana eradications, police responses, implementation of search warrants, service of warrants of arrest, checkpoints and interdiction operations were executed by PRO-CAR operatives.
The operations resulted in the seizure of 6,292,634 pieces of Fully Grown Marijuana Plants, 4,824,319.86 grams of dried marijuana, 145,558 pieces of marijuana seedlings, 647.78 ml of marijuana oil, 7.00 grams of marijuana seeds, and 1,049.73 grams of shabu. Said seized illegal drugs have an overall value of P1,850,799,191.55.
