Bong Go joins LGU to aid vulnerable sectors in Tuguegarao City

Senator Christopher “Bong” Go led a significant initiative aimed at improving the lives of students and marginalized residents in Tuguegarao City during his visit on Thursday, 19 December. In collaboration with the local government and his Malasakit Team, Go reaffirmed his commitment to advocating for more programs that support vulnerable sectors in society.

The event saw Go and his team distribute food packs, snacks, vitamins, shirts, fans, and sports equipment, including basketballs and volleyballs, to 1,681 beneficiaries. Select recipients also received bicycles, mobile phones, shoes, and watches. His partnership with Tuguegarao City Mayor Maila Ting-Que further emphasized the senator's generosity, who extended additional financial support to the beneficiaries.

In recognition of his significant contributions, Senator Bong Go was declared an adopted son of Tuguegarao City during the event. Mayor Ting-Que expressed her gratitude for Go's continuous support, emphasizing the senator’s vital role in the city’s progress. She acknowledged that Tuguegarao City and Cagayan owe Senator Go much for the services he has provided.

In his address, Senator Go extended his greetings to the residents in celebration of Tuguegarao City’s 25th Cityhood Anniversary, and encouraged the beneficiaries to use the aid wisely. He reassured them of his unwavering efforts to improve their quality of life.

Senator Go urged residents to stay hopeful despite the challenges they face, reaffirming his commitment to serve and assist them. “We are here to serve and help you to the best of our ability. Do not lose hope, as we are with you every step of the way towards a brighter future,” Go said.

The senator reaffirmed his commitment to advocating for programs that support the less fortunate, expressing gratitude for the trust and support of the residents. “Thank you for your trust and support. As your servant, I will continue to work hard to advance programs and projects that will ease your lives. Together, we will face the challenges ahead and address your needs,” Go stated.

Later that day, Senator Go attended the Cagayan Provincial Health Awards and participated in the inauguration of a new Super Health Center in Peñablanca, further demonstrating his commitment to improving public health and well-being across the province.
