Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) Secretary Jose Rizalino Acuzar announced Monday the signing of a memorandum of understanding for a housing project under President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s flagship Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino (4PH) Program with the University of the Philippines.
Acuzar said he and UP president Angelo Jimenez signed the agreement during a simple ceremony at the DHSUD Central Office and subsequently inspected the proposed project site in UP Diliman.
Under the agreement, the UP Management expressed its intent to participate in the flagship housing program of the Marcos administration.
Meantime, the DHSUD vowed to facilitate the construction of a 4PH building on the land identified by UP for the housing of qualified faculty and staff of UP.
It will also provide end-user interest subsidies for qualified 4PH beneficiaries at UP.
