Pondering VP probe

Dear Editor,
The headline, "With or sans VP, NBI probe proceeding," reflects the unrelenting zeal behind this investigation. While the National Bureau of Investigation claims to be pursuing justice, its decision to subpoena everyone on a midnight Zoom call feels more like an overreach than due diligence. Is this about accountability, or is it a witch hunt targeting one of the country's highest officials?
The Vice President's remarks, while unsettling, were made in the context of her personal safety and were clearly hypothetical. To stretch her words into a grave threat against national leaders feels like an attempt to fit the narrative to the controversy, not the evidence. Should we waste national resources trying to criminalize an off-the-cuff statement?
Moreover, the question of whether the Vice President can even face charges outside of impeachment is still unresolved.
If there are genuine grounds for accountability, Congress is the right venue to debate her actions-not a public spectacle fueled by subpoenas and headlines. Impeachment exists to resolve matters like this properly and fairly.
Let's stop this circus. Instead of dragging this issue through endless investigations, let Congress settle the debate and move on to governing. The country deserves better than this political sideshow.
Sincerely,
Christina Davnoria
