Senator Christopher "Bong" Go, vice chairperson of the Senate Committee on Finance, led the turnover of 12 new utility vehicles on Wednesday in Bacoor City, Cavite. The vehicles, aimed at improving local government services and enhancing mobility, were distributed to barangays to better address the needs of residents.
The project is part of Go's continued support for grassroots communities, designed to help local government units (LGUs) provide more efficient and accessible services. Go played a key role in securing the funding for the vehicles in collaboration with Mayor Strike Revilla and the city government.
As an adopted son of the CALABARZON region, Go reiterated his commitment to ensuring that government resources are allocated effectively to address the needs of grassroots communities. He emphasized the importance of projects like this in improving public service delivery.
“Ang Bacoor City ay mabilis na umuunlad, pero kailangan natin tiyakin na ang mga serbisyo ng gobyerno ay nakararating sa lahat,” Go said. “Ang proyektong ito ay bahagi ng ating hangaring masiguro na walang maiiwan sa pag-asenso.”
The utility vehicles, which are intended for various functions such as disaster response, barangay patrols, and health service delivery, will improve service at the community level. Barangay officials called the vehicles essential for their daily operations.
Go has also supported various road improvements in the cities of Cavite, Dasmariñas, General Trias, Imus, and Tagaytay, as well as the rehabilitation of the municipal fire station in Noveleta, the renovation of covered courts in General Trias, the acquisition of ambulances for Indang and Trece Martires City, and improvements to a sports facility at Cavite State University in Indang.
