Aboitiz InfraCapital (AIC), the infrastructure arm of the Aboitiz Group, has earned recognition for its work in the Philippines’ infrastructure sector with recent wins at the International Finance Awards (IFA) and the Global Business Outlook (GBO) Awards.
The UK-based IFA named AIC the Most Innovative Infrastructure Investment Company in the Philippines for 2024, recognizing its "forward-thinking approach and focus on long-term impact." The award highlights AIC's commitment to building sustainable and transformative infrastructure across four key sectors: Economic Estates, Water, Digital Infrastructure, and Transport & Mobility.
At the GBO Awards, AIC received two honors: Best Infrastructure Investment Management Company in the Philippines for 2024 and Best Woman Leader in the Infrastructure Development Sector in the Philippines, awarded to AIC President and CEO Cosette V. Canilao. The awards recognize AIC’s excellence in infrastructure investment and Canilao’s leadership in the industry.
The GBO Awards, based in the UK, "seek to recognize and reward excellence in businesses worldwide." AIC previously won the award for Most Innovative Industrial Development Company in 2022.
“These recognitions from the International Finance Awards and the Global Business Outlook Awards reflect the hard work, dedication, and innovative spirit of the people behind AIC,” Canilao said. “They inspire us to continue building transformative infrastructure that creates sustainable impact for communities and drives economic growth.”
AIC was also named one of Asia's Top Community-Centric Companies at the ACES Awards 2024, selected from more than 600 nominees across the region. Two of AIC's flagship community initiatives—Talent Edge, a labor program by AIC Economic Estates, and Project Blue by Apo Agua Infrastructura, Inc.—were recognized for their contributions.
