Filipino singer Chito Miranda, husband of actress and entrepreneur Neri Naig, has taken to Facebook to express his distress and support following his wife's recent arrest.
He shared his belief in her innocence, emphasizing that she has always been someone who helps others and has no involvement in any wrongdoing.
“Praying na ma-sort out na ang lahat ng ito...kawawa naman yung asawa ko🙏🏼❤️,” he wrote.
In his post, Chito explained that Neri, as a brand endorser, had her image used to attract investors. Unfortunately, when issues arose with the business, she became entangled in legal disputes.
He also highlighted irregularities in her arrest, stating that she was not informed of any new criminal complaint, nor was she given the chance to defend herself.
The charges against Neri are tied to Section 28 of RA 8799, or the Securities Regulation Code, which relates to compliance issues with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
"Eto yung babaeng kinulong ninyo without bail, habang nakalaya pa yung mga tunay na may kasalanan," he added.
