Brace yourselves, motorists, with the dreaded traffic crawl!
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority issued this warning Friday as it urged drivers to plan their trips and exercise patience as major roads like EDSA gear up for the annual Christmas rush.
MMDA officer-in-charge Romando Artes said they are expecting an increase in traffic volume as people head to their hometowns for the holidays. He said they are expecting an "exodus" by 22 December, the last working day before Christmas.

To avoid getting caught in the gridlock, Artes suggests alternative routes like the Mabuhay Lanes and travel times, saying C-5 and EDSA are likely to be heavily congested, especially during peak hours.
The MMDA has assured the public that they are taking steps to mitigate the traffic chaos.
