A Vietnamese national was arrested by the anti-drug operatives in Parañaque City.
This was in connection with an anti-drug operation conducted by the Parañaque City Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit resulting in the apprehension of a Vietnamese national identified as alias Le for violation of Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The arrest took place along Macapagal Blvd. in Brgy Tambo, Parañaque City, around 8:45 p.m. on 22 November 2023.
Recovered during the operation were five heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets (subject of sale), each containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu, totaling 5 grams with a DDB value of P34,000. Additionally, three self-sealed bags containing 18 tablets suspected to be ecstasy, were seized, with a DDB value of ₱30,600; five self-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white powder suspected to be ketamine, weighing 3 grams with a DDB value of ₱15,000; other confiscated items included a black sling bag, a brown wallet containing three IDs (2 Vietnamese IDs and 1 alien ID), and a violet Redmi cellular phone.
The recovered drug evidence was turned over to the Southern Police District Forensic Unit for quantitative and qualitative analysis.
The suspect was brought to the Station Investigation and Detection Management Section (SIDMS) for the proper filing of complaints.
