The name of operatic pop superstars Il Divo translates to "divine performer," and it describes exactly what they are.
This November, French pop singer Sebastien Izambard, American tenor David Miller and Swiss tenor Urs Bühler return to Newport World Resorts for a two-night concert called A New Day Tour.
The world's leading classical crossover group, together with special guest vocalist Steven LaBrie, will light up the Newport Performing Arts Theater stage on 24-25 November, 8 p.m.
Their comeback to the award-winning NPAT stage has been a long time coming. The trio first performed at the venue on their 10th anniversary concert in 2014.
Il Divo is the pioneer of the "popera" or operatic pop genre, in which classical and pop music come together. The suave chart-toppers have taken the world by storm with hits such as "Time to Say Goodbye," "Amazing Grace" and "Unchained Melody", their music seamlessly transitioning from English to Spanish to Italian.
