Coach Richard Villaseran' King's Gambit Online Chess School bets Michael Jan Inigo and Chester Acuyong showed their readiness for the National Amateur Chess Championships winning separate tournaments.

Michael Jan Inigo topped the 15 and Up open tournament in Negros Oriental with a score of 5.5pts in 6 games. He followed it up with an equally impressive top 5 finish in the 2nd Joe Maturan Memorial Open FIDE Rated Rapid Open after settling for a fighting draw with eventual champion National.Master Rolzon Roullo. Inigo also secured the U18 prize in the process.

Chester Acuyong on the other hand won the Open Rapid tournament held in Roxas City.

Inigo and Acuyong have both qualified for the National.Amateur Chess Championships and both are gunning for the title in the said tournament to be held in Tagaytay this coming October.

Inigo and Acuying are both being eyed by Coach Villaseran to become FMs within the next 2 years.

"Bonbon (Inigo) and Chester are 2 of the best talents we have in our program. I have high hopes they will make it to the National age groups and ASEAN age groups within the next 2 years and win their NM and hopefully FM titles in the process.", said Coach Villaseran.

Other King's Gambit Online Chess School bets made their mark also in different tournaments nationwide.

Pampanga bets Tiv Omangaay and Marcus Parulli claimed 3rd and 2nd places in the Open and Kiddies category in a rapid tournament in Pampanga.

12 year old Summer Oncita player beyond his years placing 8th in a very tough open rapid tournament.

National Master Keith Ilar also.qualified in the National Amateur Grandfinals while Zed Silva showcased his remarkable improvement, finishing 2nd place in the Laguna Batang Pinoy Qualifiers, to book a slot in the Batang Pinoy Grandfinals.

7 year old prodigies Art Joe Capatan and Elijah Loyola secured top U8 prizes in separate rapid tournanents in Davao and Cavite respectively.

Coach Villaseran's King's Gambit Onlibe Chess Training program boasts of some of the country's top age groupers such as WNMs Tonelle Racasa and Jersey Marticio, Jeremy Marticio, Chrstian Mendoza, Jiancarlo Rivera, Pat Ferdolf Macabulos, Lord Yofiel Young, Vincent Ryu Dimayuga, Stephen Quinto, National Masters Al Basher Buto, John Cyrus Borce, Tenshi Biete, to name a few.
